The Issue
You press the power button and absolutely nothing happens. No lights, no display, no sound—complete silence. This is the most common service call we receive in Dubai and across the UAE.
Common Causes
Power supply disconnected or faulty outlet
Tripped circuit breaker (treadmills draw 10-15 amps)
Safety key not properly inserted
Blown internal fuse
Damaged power cord
Failed power switch
Dead motor controller board
DIY Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1: Check Power Supply Verify the treadmill is plugged in at both ends—the wall outlet AND the treadmill connection point. Try a different outlet or test the outlet with another device.
Step 2: Circuit Breaker Inspection Check your home's electrical panel. Treadmills often trip breakers, especially in older Dubai apartments. Reset any tripped breakers.
Step 3: Safety Key Verification Remove the safety key completely and reinsert it firmly until you hear or feel a click. This simple step solves 20% of "won't start" issues.
Step 4: Power Switch Check Locate the power switch (usually at the front base or under the motor hood). Flip it off, wait 30 seconds, then flip it back on.
Step 5: Internal Fuse Inspection Unplug the treadmill. Remove the motor cover and locate the fuse near the power entry point. If it's black or the filament is broken, it needs replacement.
