The Issue
During your workout, the walking belt gradually moves to the right or left side. You constantly have to adjust your position, making exercise frustrating and potentially dangerous.
Common Causes
Uneven belt tension on adjustment bolts
Treadmill not level on the floor
Worn or damaged rollers
Belt itself stretched unevenly
Frame damage or warping (rare)
DIY Solution (Works 95% of the Time)
Step 1: Empty Treadmill Test Set the treadmill to 3-4 mph with no one on it. Observe which direction the belt moves.
Step 2: Make Small Adjustments Using an Allen wrench on the REAR roller adjustment bolts:
If belt moves RIGHT: Turn the RIGHT bolt clockwise 1/4 turn ONLY
If belt moves LEFT: Turn the LEFT bolt clockwise 1/4 turn ONLY
Step 3: Test and Repeat Let the treadmill run for 1-2 minutes and observe. Repeat adjustments in 1/4 turn increments until centered.
Step 4: Level the Treadmill Place a level across the treadmill deck. If it's not level, adjust the rear leveling feet under the treadmill.
Step 5: Final Test Walk on the treadmill at various speeds to ensure the belt stays centered under load.
Pro Tips from Our Dubai Technicians:
Never turn adjustment bolts more than 1/4 turn at a time
Always make adjustments with the treadmill running (easier to see results)
If the belt won't center after 3-4 adjustments, the rollers may be worn
Keep adjustment bolts evenly tensioned for overall belt tightness
When Professional Help Is Needed:
Belt continues drifting despite multiple adjustments
Visible roller damage or wobbling
Frame appears bent or damaged
